Title: Polycell Flexible Ceiling Paint?
Post by: Juliand on March 03, 2017, 12:11:44 pm
We have some persistent hairline cracks (differential thermal movement) on a wall (plasterboard dab onto breezeblock at the join of plasterboards) and around a window frame, where plaster buts up against the UPVC frame. The cracks are too small to use decorators caulk, so I was wondering about trying this Polycell ceiling paint .....Anyone used it before with any success? Any other suggestions, please?

Cheers

Sorry this seems to be coming up on the Motorsport Board for some reason...

Picture would be ideal but I had a similar problem near the exterior windows.

Filled the crack with flexible white caulk so it could expand/contract.

Painted over it a day later with standard white gloss and it's been nearly a year with no sign of the paint flaking or cracking. Looks like the flexible caulk is doing a good job.
