Title: Stage 2+ Mk5 Golf GTI Results.
Post by: JackL15 on March 08, 2017, 01:44:51 pm
My MK5 made 295bhp and 380 torque yesterday. Brilliant service again from the team at R-Tech and the car is a joy to drive.  :happy2:

For anyone interested its a 2007 DSG model, has an S3 intercooler, forge twintake, miltek turbo back exhaust and a loba fuel pump.

From a K03 turbo? That's impressive! :congrats:

Thank you, the turbo is standard. The guys said the result was quite high for the car.

Funny when you read all the negative stuff about the Twintake then read this! That's one of the heighest power k03 maps R-Tech have done I believe.

Did Niki give you any reason it was such a good result? Map development or just a good car in general?

Enjoy it.

Twintake issues are more K04 than K03 related

Excellent results given the simple mods. Sure I read this was a very low miles example which I imagine has helped a lot

34,787 miles I reckon. Yeah really good results - what other stage 2+ mods k03 mods would normally be needed to achieve such a high figure - rs4 fuel valve? RFD?

Such a low mileage engine will still have close to brand new compression and no play in the turbo either.  Cracking result!

I've never had any issues with the twintake and really like how it sounds. It looks quite smart as-well.

He said it was a good result but no more than that. To be fair I didn't really ask, I had my younger brother with me who was moaning he was cold and wanted to get home.

It's getting close to 35k miles and I do try and look after it so that probably helped.

Good guess, took me a minute to work out how you got that. I hadn't seen it was on the printout

Getting close to 35k now after the drive home.

Twintake is fine for K03, but restrictive for 2+ K04
