Title: Skipping pages
Post by: stealthwolf on January 30, 2010, 01:03:58 am
I couldn't see the option anywhere but thought I'd ask.

Some of the topics are more than a few pages long. Whilst this isn't an issue if the thread has 4-5 pages, it becomes a complete PITA to navigate through a thread when the page you want isn't near the beginning or end.

Example: Joesgti's project thread is 25 pages long. I've read about 14 pages' worth earlier and now want to return to page 14 to continue. I have to click through the page numbers, one by one before I can reach page 14.

Other sites use either a go-to-page function or you can edit the url to go to he right page. Wxcept this site has a funny system which makes it more difficult.  Is it possible to get something to help reach a certain page in a thread easier?

Can't you press the new button and this will take you to the bits you haven't read?

But joesgti's thread doesn't have a new button next to it!

I'm trying to, bit by bit, go through each member's build. The new button doesn't help if it's an old thread. It only helps if there's been new recent postings that I haven't read.
