Going to buy this second hand loba pump which has a claimed 1500 mileage on it.
Just seeing if anyone could tell me if this adds up from the build number.
Not that I don't trust the seller. Just want to make sure it hasn't had loads of mileage on it.
Cheers. (https://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/20170312/ededc65a64e555213b62934ebf3f6bd8.jpg)

Impossible to say from the serial number unless someone specifically knows it.
-
Sure it's not done 1532 miles
-
If the price is attractive, just take a risk and go for it. There is no way to prove it's done 1500 miles.
-
Yeah I ended up buying it for £350.
-
That's a good price. I paid about £600 for mine I think. Brand new obviously.

I wasn't even sure that I needed it but I heard things about fuel cuts when going stage 2 if you have a weak pump. So I bought this and now going stage 2+ at the end of April.
-
You'll get a much fatter torque curve with the pump - fuel cuts or not. As we discussed, it'll safeguard you on one hand but on the other hand get the absolute best from your k04.
I look forward to hearing how you get on in April mate
-
Thanks mate.
I'll be sure to let you know how it goes.

Facebook mate. I've got powervalve turbo back, Revo intake and getting rs4 fuel return valve.

Yeah you need a pump for the midrange. Fuel curves follow boost curves and these little cotton reel turbos spool up quick, and the factory pump was only made for 1 bar of boost, + a bit. A lot of Ed30s completely overwhelm it once you start pushing 1.7+ bar boost.

Make sure you order a new o ring for the pump before fitting as it doesn't have one in the photo
