I know another stupid question, but I've only got gt85 to hand.

Lithium grease. :happy2:

WD40 is not a lubricant, it's a penetrant so within no time it will dry up and just dirty the area.
I clean the whole hing down of all the grease and then add in fresh Einszett ultra gel grease which sprays on as liquid and then stiffens up when it's seeped into the inner workings.

Yeah I didn't want to use gt85 as \i know it wont last. The only grease I've got in a grease gun is some Silkolene bearing grease so a grease spray sounds like a good idea.

I use ACF-50 stops corrosion and lubricates, they use it on helicopter blades. I put it on everything that i want to stay nice lol
