Title: Electric folding mirrors MK5 GTI

Unfortunately a truck damaged my passanger side wing mirror so I've decided to get a non genuine complete unit. My car has electric folding mirrors but as I never use them I've decided to go for the manual type. When I fit this could it throw up any codes as one sides electric folding and other isn't?

Iirc it won't throw up a code on the display but if you have the car plugged in to a scanner or vcds it will show a defective folding mirror possibly say intermittent
