what do you think of mk5 GTI with the side skirts and rear valance of back bumper colour coordinated? is the way it should have been from factory or is it taking away from originality? do you think a non coordinated car will be worth more in time to come?

Unless it's black I tend to find the standard MK5 GTI looking a bit "incomplete" without colour coding. I had mine done recently and it does make it a bit fresher and cleaner without the matte black plastics (Graphite Blue owner), it definitely will stand out better if you have brighter colours like Tornado Red or Candy White.
Market wise it probably won't make a huge difference to the value of the car if you do move on, but I would imagine it would be easier to pass on as it would stand out better to potential buyers - particularly in the rear end department!

^ that looks nice. Need some more pics from another graphite blue owner :happy2:

Mine is black, and still colour coded from the dealer. Looks awful regardless which colour you car has if the lower parts isn't matching the rest - IMO :rolleye:

My cars black only thing I haven't colour coder is the side skirts as I actually like them the way they are. A few days after I had the car the R32 Bumper and exhaust were on as I couldn't stand the OEM bumper

I don't like the colour co-ordination and prefer the contrast of a black valance, splitter and skirts on my grey GTI.
It will add nothing to value, you'll actually spend money having it done, not to mention the fact that you'll also need to get your skirts sanded down smooth before painting.
If you like it, do it.
If you're doing it to add value, it's a costly waste of time.

I hated the black plastics and got mine colour coded / ED30 front and rear
