Advert in question. I emailed and asked why the price was so low. The response...
Hello,
I still have the vw golf for sale, the condition is excellent and it has no damages or any faults. It has to go due to lack of use, there are no hidden issues. All necessary documents available. My current location is N.Ireland due to my work commitments. If this is going to be a quick sale, I will let it go for £4400 delivered at my costs.
The deal will go through eBay and PayPal.
Thank you
Has to be a scam? Location keeps changing on the ebay advert aswell. Hopefully people can share this around so nobody gets caught out!

Link doesn't seem to work.
Sounds like he wants you to pay £4400 through paypal, maybe before seeing it?
Hopefully no one is that stupid but I just takes on person!

Maybe not the same people but when I bought my GTi 2/3 years ago there was someone doing the same thing with an edition 30 ridiculously cheap. They wanted a PayPal payment first as well. They gave a long story about the car being far away from the area I was in and I couldnt look at it yet...

If it sounds too good to be true it usually is :sad1:

Don't be tempted, it's always a scam if too low.

Total scam. The ebay ads always have a email address they want you to communicate by, and that's a typical reply you got. If you look at the sellers other items for sale on their username they'll have dozens of single picture ads for cars and bikes with the same wording. They're quite practised in their trade though, few months back I was bored and tried to string the little blighters along. They sent me passport photo's and other ID documents to prove who they were requesting I send a copy of my licence or passport back. Some older couple in Wales I think but the usual working away, car in the Highlands bullcrap story.
I guess they only need one sucker every 100 tries and it still makes it worth while.
