Title: Replacement rotors
Post by: The Red Warrior on April 09, 2017, 06:23:16 am
Looking to get opinions and options for replacing my discs rotors on my GTI as they are getting rather worn and I need new pads all round soon too.
I'll just be sticking to original sizes of 312x25 and 282x12.
I've seen a couple options I like but shipping is pricey for such heavy items since I live in New Zealand.  I was considering these Tyrolsport ones

or these Vagbremtechnic ones

The advantage of the Vagbremtechnic ones are that I can get matching rears too.
I'm keen on the J hook designs or at least slots as I'm upgrading to the Porsche NQSBBK at the same time.
I've even considered the ECS Tuning two piece drilled and slotted rotors but they've not come back to me as yet with a price on replacement discs for when they have worn down. However, $$$!
Anyone have any better or cheaper options that I should look at or any specific reasons why any of the above are no good?

Here's a cheaper option though I would get the coated version to avoid rust forming on the centres.
