I feel the car needs. Bit more negative camber. What are people's thoughts on either adjustable top mounts or adjustable bottom ball joint. My car is running Bilstein coilovers. Also what geo are you guys running. As before track and weekend car only. M3 used to run -2.5 on front and -2 on rear. Thanks Dave

Just been informed that powerflex do an adjustable wishbone bush for adding nedative camber - thought please?
Thanks
-
Anyone?

Either super pro ball joints. It ground control top mourns.
Super pro give you a max of about -1*45
Ground control go higher. Not sure how much exactly
-
Thanks Rich, do you have either fitted?
-
Aren't ground control top mounts a bit noisy over bumpy roads? I think a friend told me that.

Maybe my friend was unlucky with his top mounts bearings. I think he had them replaced twice before removing the top mounts from his Golf.

You do normally get some noise from solid top mounts but the GCs are quite unique and use 2 bearings I believe. An OEM BMW bearing to support the spring/top plate, and a second one to support the piston rod or something, which probably helps reduce it.
They do a more extreme version for harder track work. The standard ones are mild and have limited camber adjustment.
Good to hear the GCs are quiet as I've been eyeing them up and getting impure thoughts for a while now

Thats great thanks - how much camber you running on yours? Do you use it on the road and track? My Bilsteins are one model doe from yours - 14's - still fit ok?
-
-2" 45, yes on the road. Amazing levels of grip to be fair, tyre wear on the inner edge is to be expected though, but nothing to excessive. Don't think there will be a difference between the two

The alloy lower arm / adjustable ball joint is a good mod from SuperPro. Allows that bit more adjustment you're after.
I have them coupled with ground control top mounts. Around 3ยบ camber combined!
Id advise trying the balljoints alone 1st, although you'd pay for another alignment / geo setup if you added top mounts later. I think the top mounts can add a bit extra firmness and in some cases a bit of noise. If you're more concerned about performance and handling, go for it! Mine handles amazingly

Car is only a weekend toy, track car.
What are the other settings you would recommend?
i presume max caster, no toe on front as this causes tyre wear, 2.5-3 neg camber.
What about the rear/ i have adjustable arms.
Thanks again for input

Just picked up a new set of supaloy lower arms and antilift

Tiny bit of toe in 0.5 mins and -2 on the rear, same 0.05 mins toe in

Thanks Freddy,
What geo do you run front and rear as I'm new to vag set ups having had rwd for years? Ta

Just had mine setup with super pro ball joints and also KW clubsports so adjustable top mounts. The max we could get was -3 on the front which I was surprised at as I thought the both of them combined would have given more. I have maxed out the ball joints and topmounts for -3 but may take that back a notch depending on tyre wear.
For the rear I went with -1.5, I prefer a planted rear so not too loose. Not tried it on track yet so hopefully it's good. It's about what my MK2 was setup like
