I'm having an issue with my ED30, there is a rattle/squeak coming from the rear, it seems like its generated when the o/s/r wheel goes up over a bump or through a pothole but it sounds like its coming from inside the car.
At first I though it was a loose seat back that was moving about but it wasn't that. I think it maybe the boot lid. When the boot is shut I can still push the boot in slightly, could it be loose on the latch which is causing the movement and the squeak?
Has anyone else experienced similar and cured it? Its beginning to drive me mad!

Have you checked the brake disc shields behind each disc? I had a similar problem to you which was driving me nuts. Turned out the n/s/r brake shield was goosed.

I once had a noise that sounded like a couple of bowling balls clanking in the boot lol. Fitted new rear top mounts and noise gone.

I did a bit of digging around the car the other night and I noticed that the tailgate bump stops don't actually meet the tailgate. Took them out to adjust and they are broken.... My thinking is that without them taking up the slight amount slack that is in the boot latch the tailgate as moving around and causing the squeak.
Gonna order 2 new bump stops from TPS today and hopefully that cures it!
