Title: Car wanted.

Wanted MK5 GTi.

Manual.
3-door.
Black. (Poss' graphite blue).
Under 100k miles.
Heated cloth.
Sensible price.

We have been looking, believe me we have looked but have viewed some right sheds. There is a lovely red one for sale at the moment but he is insisting on a black one.

Got a fully specced black manual for sale. Factory Xenons, Highline, Sunroof, but has full Beige Heated Leather and has 124000 miles. Cared for very very well.

Would take 4k.

Peter's car might be a bit higher milage than you'd like but a higher miled looked after car is better than a lower miled uncared for. Plus its well specced and wings already replaced.

Peter's car might be a bit higher milage than you'd like but a higher miled looked after car is better than a lower miled uncared for. Plus its well specced and wings already replaced.

It is my son that is looking for a car.
I was just trying to be polite,the colour of the interior does not do it for him at all.

Tell me about the mileage/looked after issue.( I am slowly trying to convince my son about this.)

The mileage is just numbers on the dash, we looked at three yesterday, all well under 100k miles.
First one had no service books at all, the coolant level was well above the full mark which lead me to take the oil cap off. There was a LOT of mayonnaise in there. A LOT.
Second one looked great in the pictures, in the flesh it was awful. There was signs of a bad respray down one side, there was white powder everywhere where it had been sanded down, it was all in the wheel bolt holes (are people blind? it would have taken ten minutes to wash it). Then the guy started talking to us like we were idiots. We made our excuses and left.
Third one was far too expensive.

There is a red one for sale with cloth seats and the winter pack,it has had everything done to it that can possibly go wrong but he is just determined to have a black one.

We will keep looking.

would he be interested in an ed30, mine's still for sale, open to sensible offers as have put a deposit on a mk4 r32 so need this to go to a good home
