Title: Cd changer removal, what after?
Post by: Apearcey on April 27, 2017, 10:40:29 pm
Hi everyone! I've just bought my first proper car!! My first ever car was a Peugeot 206 1.4, I then went to a Focus 1.6
I can sense everyone falling asleep...

So I bought my mk5 gti last week and it'll be going on the road on Saturday and I can't wait!!

What I want to know is... how do I remove the cd changer under the arm rest AMD... what can I put in place of this?
I have no cup holders... the ones in the door don't look very secure but I'm not sure if under the arm rest is a good place for mc cafe lattes

Just a standard storage pocket in mine.  Less clutter.  Fewer wires.

There is cup holder under the sliding cover in front of the gearstick.  There should be a bottle opener in there which acts as a divider to hold the cup(s) in place.

I miss the pop out cup holders in my MK4.  VW got all cheap on us with the MK5.
