Got all part numbers in there for what you need.
Also need vagcom to code the tailgate lock to open when you press the boot button on the fob

No need for all that trouble, the "pop" function only really works when it's warm out so just enable "soft touch opening" in VCDS and save yourself a few quid.
I've gone the whole hog and fitted the entire kit and it was a waste of time and money. The boot rarely opens fully and more often just opens the same amount as before the "kit" was fitted.
HTH,
Mick. :happy2:

Mine worked great in the summer as you say, but I sold the parts and went back to OEM long before it got cold
The problems I noticed:
Massively increased strain on the boot latch. Only matter of time before that wears out prematurely.
A lot of effort required to close the boot. I'm no weakling, but with one arm full of shopping and the other arm trying to close the lid, it's 10x more awkward than standard.
I actually found it embarrassing to use in Supermarkets....it's just the epitome of show off laziness having a self opening trunk / tailgate.
So yeah, off it came.
Still, you do these things once.....learn the pitfalls and why VW never fitted it......then go back to standard
