Title: Fitting an Armrest
Post by: monk180 on May 04, 2017, 08:22:30 pm
Hi there,

Looking for 5 GTI's now, some with an arm rest and without.

Obviously I will not turn down a low mileage minter, for the sake of no armrest, my Gt TDI with DMF issues hence being sold,  has an armrest, and I really  cannot do without one, left arm just feels lost !

So how hard are they to fit? Are the non OEM ones from eBay, just rubbish? Genuine ones taken from cars are about 100 quid, don't care about any colour miss fit. Then I guess the rear air vents will not work, and will be a hole where the CD changer should be.

Thanks

The air vents will work if you just buy the pipe bits from vw and route them through to the blank in the heating system.

Really easy to install if you pop the seats out 10min job, gives you all the room in the world to work round it.
