Title: S3 injectors

A little confused as to why 2 of my S3 injectors have 3 jet holes and two have 2 and also which injectors seats where?.

They've all got matching part numbers haven't they? VW and Bosch?

Just checked mine (same part numbers as r-tech recommend) and they have 2 holes, 1 in the middle and one offset.

theyre all matching part numbers but been told the 3 jet holes are the revised pair but no revision numbers  :thinking:
Just checked mine (same part numbers as r-tech recommend) and they have 2 holes, 1 in the middle and one offset.
mine are exactly the same PN but two must be the later revision  :stupid:

I didn't know there was a revision. What year did that occur @r5gtt ?

Maybe speak to a specialist like Mr Injector and see if you'll be ok mixing and matching pre and post revision?

Sounds a bit odd to me. Surely different jets means different spray pattern. I need to read up on this as I've obviously got a bit to learn!

Yeah I would have thought a different spray pattern will affect something but again thinking it will just clog up two cylinders more then the other two but will need to find this out  :doh:

@AJP (http://www.mk5golfgti.co.uk/forum/index.php?action=profile;u=11926) found out they're not even holes but indents probably to differentiate the revision is what I'm thinking so all good  :jumping:
