Title: Mk5 Stereo not illuminated but working

Hi guys just bought a 2007 gt tdi sport 140. The stereo is working fine but it isn't illuminated at all screen or buttons. Googled and can't find common problem. Can anyone point me in right direction

i once used VCDS on a passat where the radio wasnt lighting up. cleared a fault code from the audio group and it lit back up. might be worth a try

Oh I have the lead and software that I used with my mk4 if it fits will give that a go thanks
