Title: DV+ Valve Question
Post by: neilw on May 16, 2017, 04:14:21 pm
Hi, Got my DV+ today it looks really nice, Two questions....

The instructions only mention connecting to Rev C, D and G Solenoid, I'm not sure what's on my car, will other revisions work?

There is an option to install a "Main Spring" or to leave it out, what's the best route to take here, my car is stock.

Thanks!

Any solenoid will work, AFAIK.

Keep all the springs if you want to have the full benefits of the upgraded diverter valve. It might make a bit more noise but that's just the valve releasing the air more progressively instead of releasing all the air pressure at once like the stock valve. With my K04 and VWR intake I can hear it working but it's not annoying for me. It makes more noises when I drive faster so on daily driving it's pretty quiet.

Great bit of kit.

Fitted my DV+ today. Nice easy job for a change. All done in under 20mins Sorry KO3 owners!

Feels good, Can't put my finger on it, the car just feels better, the engine seems less lazy when picking up the revs. Changing gear it feels quicker to pick up again.  :happy2:

Hi Neil what size and type of socket did you use to remove the bolts securing the diverted valve

Does the DV+ sound any different than the OEM DV?

I only went out for a 5-6mile drive with it. I couldn't hear anything different. I'll see if I notice anything going to work tomorrow.
