Title: Seat repair
Post by: josh-e93 on May 29, 2017, 12:35:02 pm
Hi all. I'm looking to get my drivers seat repaired as it has ripped on the bolster. Cloth seats.
Finding it hard to get someone who can do the job nobody seems to be able to. I'm located in the Mansfield Notts area.
Has anyone had this done or know of a person/company who can do it?

I know of someone selling a set of the cloth removed from a GTI seat in good condition. This was done prior to a retrim.

If that would be of interest, meaning you could just swap the covers over, let me know and I can put you in contact with them

Not to sound daft but how would this work? Is it basically like a seat cover but remove my old cloth to put this one on?
Thanks

Brooks Coach Trimmers is supposed to be good, I haven't used them myself but a friend of mine said they're good quality.

Correct, can be done at home, but an upholsterer might be better to do it

If you were close to Birmingham handsworth there's a guy who replaced my leather bolster for £100 and it was spot on
