Post by: neiller on June 01, 2017, 04:59:54 pm
Can any1 give me the Vw part number of the air con sensor just below the alternator ?

I've got a leak and need to replace it .

Is there an easy way to unscrew it?

It will have the number written on it if you look closely

It's the "High Pressure Sensor" ... Partnumber should be: 5K0959126 and the O-ring has partnumber: 8E0260749

I know since I'm about to replace mine also.. No easy way to unscrew, I nearly broke my hand the other day and after that I nearly broke the motor :D .. So I'll be changing mine when I'm having the entire front end off to do the GTI frontbumper conversion.

Easy job takes 5 mins with the correct tools. Crows foot is what you need  :happy2:

Changed mine recently, the new design is much easier to put on as a 24mm deep socket will go over the top of the electrical connection.

5K0959126 was the part number I put in according to my records.

Old one came off fairly easily with a 17mm crowsfoot spanner
