Title: 2.0T Gti AXX 2005 ruff running when warm
Post by: DBXdarkangel on June 03, 2017, 09:52:08 pm
Hey guys as the title says. When my car geta warm ive noticed it rumbles slighty like a coil pack or plug. When ita cold its perfectly fine and theres no fault codes on vag-com.
Also when ita cold ive noticed it sticks in gear very slightly and when i set off i can feel from the pedal a slight thumping like a intermittent thumping. When i accelerate and my clutch foot is resting on the clutch pedal, as i lift off the gas i can feel the clutch pedal slightly dip. Weird?

As you said could be a coil pack on the way out, wouldn't throw a fault code.

Mine did that for a couple of weeks and then the coil failed completely.

Don't know i'm afraid, when it does go completely it will throw a code relating to the cylinder it has failed on. You can then clear the codes, swap the coils and see if the code moves across to a different cylinder to diagnose.

Coil packs generally show up under load (i.e. boosting around)

Any ideas on my gear / clutch issue?
