they adverise these drills as the best ever and won't need to buy any more...So thought I would try some but on trying them my suspicions were right as they are crap and blunt straight away
-
Looks like the bloke on the right has been "up grading" his discs? :signLOL:

Best just getting a good brand in a sale, I got a set of 30 Bosch wood, steel and masonry for £25 in B&Q one day now if only I could find them...
-
Lol, home shopping garbage with rigged tests. Do people still fall for it? I guess they do Andy
Best drills I ever used for metal were Facom cobalt jobbies, but they're like 300 quid for a 25 pc set.
Have yet to find a decent masonry drill bit that doesn't wear out in a matter of minutes, but the JCB brand held up surprisingly well when hacking through a reinforced concrete window lintel.

Go for quad head on the masonry bit, a few pound more expensive but I've yet to break one!
Always remember to water them down to prevent overheating too!

We've all done it I think! I bought a decking screwdriver attachment from the Ideal Home Show, which looked super impressive during the live demo, but it was utter shat when I got it home. They clearly used specially made unique screws for the demo

I suppose you were watching this sh*t by "mistake"

Funny, I was a just about to order the same drill set last week, they way they demo sucks you in, glad I didn't now, that said I did buy the wagner paint sprayer from them, which did my exterior walls in minutes!, its a great piece of kit.
