Title: Creaking noise after dogbone insert fitting
Post by: shoaybmakda on July 09, 2017, 12:08:06 am
Hi all

Not sure if anyone else has noticed this when fitting theirs:

Fitted a ECS dogbone mount insert last week and overall everything is great.

However when going into reverse (DSG if it makes a difference) there’s a creaking/grinding noise that seems to be coming out. It only comes in reverse all other gears are fine.

Any idea? Will be getting it back on the ramp next week to check anyway but just thought I’d ask before I go back there

Thanks

Yeah happens with mine too but more of a vibration than a creak or grind. I have the powerflex black insert.
It's because of the less movement in the mount now that the voids are filled.
