Post by: Rich on February 04, 2010, 09:48:26 pm
Yup,

I love the feeling of being driven back into your seats, that gives me more pleasure than power

What are the basic things i can get to increase torque chaps ?

Cheers

an evo, 4wd, lots of torque, close ratio box, all leads to massive g forces

HPFP , massive mid range increase (area under curve)
more aggressive boost settings (REVO)

but I suspect your biggest issue is grip, as low rpm torque just lights up tyres..
so LSD , suspension , neg camber, engine mounts, wider tyres , R888 tyres
to make it a matched setup

oh and the first thing that will go is your clutch so budget for that too (manual)
(or a DSG remap as I seem to remember your pirelli is DSG)

whilst the feel is great it can be counterproductive in making good progress.
smoothing out the delivery and maybe reducing low rpm torque may make it faster (but ironically feel slower)
