So my first problem in a while. The front wipers work. The front and rear washer jets don't, and the rear wiper doesn't work either. As I was going to AKS for a six month service, I asked Chris to have a look at it.
It wasn't the pump as a swap with another one made no difference. Then Chris checked the relay and said the contacts were corroded. After being cleaned up, the washer jets worked, as did the rear wiped.
Until yesterday when it all stopped working again.
Does anyone know where the wiper relay is?

Above the pedals if all the clicking in mine is anything to go by.
-
Is placed behind the small storage space you pull out under the light switch. Pull it out and it should show it some relays.

I changed the load reduction relay (460) on mine when my washers, 12v sockets and rear wiper weren't working...B9 on the diagram.
As above, it's behind the small cubby.

So I've had a look and this is what i can see:

Can I remove and replace relays without disconnecting the battery?
-
I'd replace mine without disconnecting the battery without problem. Just make sure you don't use any metal help get it out. You can use a plastic part to help get it out incase you can't get it with your hands.
-
I did it without disconnecting the battery, obviously remembering NOT to stick the key in whilst relay removed. No faults came up.
The relay I changed is out of shot on your pic (to the right) it should say 'KL75' next to the relay numbered '460'
Quite a bitch to get out as access is restricted. Lift up the prongs on top and bottom holding it in and pull out.
-
Gah! Struggling with removing the relay. I've removed the lower dash where the headlight switch is and the kick panel but I still can't pull the relay out. There are little tabs at the top and bottom. I can push the top one up but the bottom one doesn't move. Any ideas?
-
Yup like I said it's a bitch to get out. I used a small flat head to pry the tab down
-
Okay I had a chance to have to have another go today and it's still a pain. I managed to snap the tabs at the top and bottom of the relay. I've used pliers on the bloody thing. All without any movement from the relay.

Removed. Hallelujah!

My drivers side jet works but passenger one just dribbled out. I’m assuming that if my problem was the relay then they would both not work? Will it be blocked do you think?
-
Yep, if one is working then the other is likely blocked. The 'fan jet' style are quite sensitive to some types of screenwash additive and can block easily.
Hope this helps.

When my relay went, the front washer jets would not work. Not just "no spray" but no sound from the motor either. The back washer was dead and the wiper didn't work either. Replacing the relay restored all of these. Hence if you have one washer working, or the pump works, then the relay isn't the issue.
A small pin might help clear out anything blocking the nozzle.

I’ll have ago at that then cheers guys
