Title: Ebay Cruise Control Stalk any good?
Post by: willni on July 13, 2017, 08:26:10 pm
Whilst the steering wheel is off getting recovered, thought I would add cruise control, I've read that 07 on cars don't need the wire so should this stalk work 1K0953513G. As well as is there anything wrong with using the ebay stalks for £20? Don't feel like getting stuck and 4 mph and need Father Ted Crilly to move a big pyramid of boxes out of my way.  :P

I got a used genuine one of a Seat from eBay for £13. Worked perfectly, no adding wires or changing slip rings. My cars an 06 with Midline steering wheel controller and Highline Cluster.

I managed to get a genuine one (same part no. as above) from eBay for £19 delivered. It had been removed from a low mileage Mk6.

No worries. Thanks for your advice on the Microfiber cutting disk as well. I got some last week and am now getting cut with 5-6 passes with the Meguires Ultimate Compound.

Got a new eBay stalk for £15 odd a year or so ago and it works perfectly.  Only difference is it's a little clunkier and a bit noisier in it's indicating function, not quite as smooth.  Well I rememebr thinking that when I first used it but it just feels normal now.
