Title: Tailgate glass

Hi everyone, I changed the tailgate on my mk5 golf a short while ago but I really want to put the original green tint glass into the new tailgate because it matches the rear side green Tints, Does anyone know what sort of cost I would expect? Thank you for any help given.

I don't think it's a tint - but the glass that has that colour. There's also a blue shade to some models. I only think they tint the glass if you want it darker to protect from sun etc etc.

It's tinted glass - ie the glass has a tint of colour in the production (green or blue, depending upon year I think). The darker stuff is a film applied after market. I  think the OP means the glass tint of the original??

I think VW tint is 65% green, prices vary depending on location and company and how they decide to do it eg in situ or remove the back window
