Title: Abs problem fixed.
Post by: Chrisaw04 on August 12, 2017, 04:45:24 pm
Recently after buying my mk5 golf gti I was Sat in the car park at work and the esp, abs and tpms lights came on. Did a diag on it and it came up with right rear abs sensor(g44). Changed the sensor but still wouldn't clear codes. Was told by a friend from vw that the wiring to the sensor could have a break in it. So today I stripped the drivers side rear trims to see what colour wires are coming from the sensor and to test for voltage. Got no live power just an earth. Then tracing wires further down they change colour. Tested on them and I got live and earth. This is what I found after undoing the insulation tape!(https://www.dropbox.com/sh/dighxwkuoaux00z/AACzOkYUu-BhKxdIEXtiibN_a?dl=0)
