Hi. Does anyone know if the front seat covers are easily removed? My electric lumbar support in my drivers seat is knackered. (Collapsed one side and clicks in all directions)I'd like to see if I can repair it. Any tips? Tricks? Etc
Cheers
Dave

Easy isn't a word I'd associate with cover removal Dave, and definitely not on re-install. The underside of the cover has clips which are not so bad, but the fabric tends to have wires across which embed into the foam and attach with circular sharp ended clips which are clamped together to complete the circle. They are b**chin to get back on. I'd let an upholsterer do it as it can look gash if you don't get the tension back in the covers.

Thanks for taking the time to reply to me @chigmuss (http://www.mk5golfgti.co.uk/forum/index.php?action=profile;u=3731)
I think I will just live with the lumbar being broken then.

I find reassembly is much easier if you use this tool with the clips.

Not a MKV but this gives you an idea of the type of challenge you would be undertaking its photo heavy so helpful but a MKIV seat is better built than a MKV
