My lowline display (half height digital part between the speedo and rpm counter) has just died.
Driving along I look down and can see only a thin horizontal line instead or the usual odometer/time etc reading. 2 mins later the display is totally blank. Speedo, rpm, temp and fuel clocks still work fine and warning lights appear when cycling the ignition. Just the screen appears to be dead.
Anyone had similar and any suggestions? I'll plug into VCDS when home in a few hours and see if anything is thrown up...

Display was fine on the way home. Must be an intermittent connection or similar...

Its normal for lowline clusters to do that in warm or hot weather. If you get a highline cluster it shouldnt do it

Yeah, my lowline display when it's warm hardly shows the bottom part with the odometer and trip readings.
I think the op might have a different problem though if the whole display went blank. Or it's just in worse condition than mine.
Predictive text wanted to change lowline to lowlife. Sounds about right.
