EU. So thought a 10mm long socket would do he job, however there's not enough room to reach with the socket due to the wider base.
Almost like I need an ristorante long socket?
Any tips?

have you tried 8mm

extension bar

and a pair of g p pliers or a length of pipe, hose to fit the top of the g p to remove it one unscrewed

Extract from the manual for that job below

Thanks guys. Will try again tomorrow with a smaller socket thickness.
I did you use a large 1/2" socket wrench. Think this is the problem, and why there's not enough room to get to the glow plugs.
Will keep you updated tomorrow :driver:

You can get a 10mm glow plug socket from halfords.
It's a smaller thickness than a normal socket, deep enough and has a rubber grommet inside to grip the glow plug when removing.

Yea, I've seen those sockets but just didn't think it would be necessary - but I'm going to put this job on hold until I'll buy one of those sockets. So will continue the injector harness along with glow plug replacement until Monday.
Since this project is on hold I can dig down to some possible retrofits tomorrow instead. :driver: :fighting2:
Thanks once again.
