Hi chaps...
Had my GTi over a year now. It has been nothing but great car in all areas. Reallt like it.
2 months ago had it mapped to Stage 1. Car is standard apart Oversized Ram Air induction. Always run on Momentum 99.
About two weeks ago i have noticed slight juddering when accelerating harder in 2nd and 3rd gear.
Now it judder (like missfire or not getting enough fuel) everytime and on very gear, but only when puting my foot down from lower revs... under 3k rpms.
If i drive normally it is ok. If I take it over 3k rpms and then floor it, no issues at all.
No issues when I rev it on neutral.
What could it be?

Did you check you cam lobe?
Did the engine light come on at all?

Did not check cam, but only done my cam follower last year (4k miles ago). No engine light at all...

Looks like problem is getting worse as I go. This morning it was doing it even when driving normally all on low rpms. When wanting to accelerate it was juddering and sounding like subaru lol
Reading about this similar issues I think it could be coil packs or plugs. Ordered both from Awesome... should be in tomorrow.
Will see if that fix it.

Sounds like a misfire, but surprise there isn't an engine light showing at the time or afterwards. Plugs and coils a good place to start, also a chance of injector

No light at all... strange. Also read faults with simple faul reader and could not find anything

Update on my issue...
Coil packs and plugs arrived this morning... olny ordered yesterday!
Awesome service from Awesome GTI!!! Highly recomended!
No time to waste, lets get them fitted.
30 mins later, job completed.
Guess what... it cured the problem :-) could not be happier! Power is baaaack lol
Not sure if it was coils or plugs at faul. Could not be bothered to check them ;-) but one plug had slight crack on the body from top to bottom? Possibly at fault? Doesn't matter now.
Engine bay looks smarter as well.
Gusy if you have missfire... check your coils and plugs :-)

I would say a cracked plug could easily cause a misfire, good to hear it was a simple fix. :happy2:

I had a very similar thing that turned out to be coil packs, funnily enough I also used to use momentum but have since changed to Shell V-Power and the car fells like it runs much better

Been runing Momentum since I got the car over a year ago and never had a issue with it. I know people recommend Vpower a lot... will try it one day lol
