Title: Fast road alignment
Post by: Mikey1p on October 29, 2017, 09:27:34 pm
Hi all. Just joined the forum and getting to grips with it. I've got a mk2 Leon tfsi  (shares chassis with mk5)  and looking for a good fast road alignment set up for track.  Any advice would be much appreciated. Thanks in advance

Mikey, you’re going to need 1.5 to 2.5 deg of neg camber on the front depending on how road / track oriented you want to be.  Expect inner tyre wear and tram-lining on the more extreme settings.

To achieve this, you will need either superpro adjustable ball joints (which ime give @1.5) or adjustable top mounts (>2). Not sure if you already have either or indeed have upgraded your springs / dampers / arbs.

You will also find that a small amount of toe out instead of toe in will make the car turn in quicker.
