Title: help -bonnet not opening fully - it opens 2 inches only-- safety catch?

Hi,

bonnet opens  from lever and catch but only opens about 2 /3 inches and then something is catching - maybe a safety catch or something..
help

Have you just bought the car and don't know how to open the bonnet? If so feel around middle of bonnet for a release lever.

Um... no...the release lever does nothing ...

Spray wd40 into the lock and hopefully that will help unstick it

Yes ,...sprayed everything with wd40 and had to  press the release handle under the bonnet really hard a few times...
seems ok now
