Title: Drive shafts
Post by: Omaru91 on November 06, 2017, 11:12:15 am
Hi Guys,

i was wondering are manual drive shafts the same as the DSG ones? my left one is making some nasty noises and it just seems easier to change the whole thing, i seem to be struggling with find the right part or part numbers.

cheers

Hi @Llew (http://www.mk5golfgti.co.uk/forum/index.php?action=profile;u=5623) do you know what the difference is as ive been looking at both and they seem identical, i purchased a manual just to check but if your certain there not will need to go on the hunt again.

cheers

No idea if they’re the same or not but i just had the passenger side come loose and had it tightened up etc .

Two short runs later and ive got no gears and the prnds is flashing and ended up with a “cheap “ £500 bill, please get it sorted asap and don’t drive it.

the dsg is flat where it bolts to the gearbox and manual has a dome
