Title: Drivers door lock

Hello my drivers door lock has been abit hit and miss lately and has showed a code on carista for ages,but tonight it went and it’s finally stopped working,the car locks fine but the drivers side won’t unlock by remove,so I’m using the key atm.
Could someone get me the part number please so I can veto e before I strip it all down,it’s a 2005 3door gti reg ks05 fak thanks

more than likely the door mechanism has failed. Changed L and R in the last few months ebay search will get you one for £20  Door skin off.

Are they all the same,can I buy any for the correct side of eBay and it will fit and work

 check the ebay description  Pretty sure that the one you need is the same as all golfs from 2003 Message the seller to make sure they send the correct side you need. One or two have a 12 month warranty  :thinking:  UK seller should get to you quicker  :happy2:

If that works are be happy as it’s cheap,everything’s is going wrong with this car,my 02 sensers gone now

Watch out for the cheap eBay ones - the one I bought was a dud. Better to spend 70-90 on an expensive one than end up paying 200 in labour and VAT to a garage for them to replace...

They have just replied saying it won’t fit,yet it says mk5 in the add

Everyone on eBay seems useless,they said itwont fit a3 door as it states hatchback and estate only,it is a hatchback?
The other one I gave my reg and they said what’s this?

Anyone got the part number for a driver side 3door gti

I’ve just found one used of a 05 3door gti same as mine but the part number starts with 3d2 and the one on that link says Oem number 3d1 all other numbers are the same
