Hi guys
Im sure many people have had this issue before.Thebattery died in my car key and the spare key is flat too.I can open the car at the door lock and it starts fine but i cant open or close the car with the buttons on the key.Does anybody know how i would go about getting the key reprogrammed?
Thanks in advance

Have you put a new battery in :happy2:

Ha yes new battery in both keys and in the right way,no flashing light on either key when i press any buttons on the fob
-
Battery possibly didn't run out, button may have stopped working?

You need to troubleshoot what you've done.
Did you put the battery in upside down?
Did you replace both key batteries?
Did the keys get wet?
Is the interior board rusted or damaged?
Considering you have two keys it's easier to fault find.
If nothing works then it sounds like something on the receiver end is gone!

There is no red led light on either key,put a new battery in each of them and keys have never gotten wet,one is kept in a drawer at all times. The circuit boards look to be fine and no discolouration on them.
Thanks for the comments and help thus far :happy2:

To be sure it wasn't the batteries at fault i bought a new pack of Philips batteries, previous are panasonic which i bought and new.Hey presto both keys work..i would never thought that could be it as i tried to narrow down the issue as much as possible with the advice put forward.
Thanks for your help and time guys :happy2:
