Title: Anti hijack locking?
Post by: Matthewsimone on November 27, 2017, 09:23:08 pm
Evening all
While since posting
Wife has a 2008 GT tdi
Is it possible to setup the locking so that the doors lock automatically once drive off?
Maybe with vcds/vagcom possibly?

Thanks in advance

You can lock the doors from the inside, should be a button on the drivers door for this.

Yes Its possible with VCDS, however its better to just tell her to lock the doors when she gets in the car as the doors only lock automatically once you go over ~10mph.

Yes, look at Central Locking control module and under coding there should be a checkbox that says something like Auto Lock when car reaches 15 km/h. My car had this originally but when I upgraded the Canbus Gateway I lost this feature so I had to reactivate it this way.
