VW has issued the V15 2018 maps but I haven't found them online yet. :sad1:
I've seen it listed on mhh auto site as a torrent.

Does anyone else's RNS510 always start up zoomed out to 300 miles or something daft? It doesn't remember it when I change it to 0.1 miles or what ever. Frustrating!

It's a known firmware bug that happens with some radios, not all. It happened more with 5238 and supposedly it was corrected in the 5274 and newer versions. I have that happening, but not as bad as 300 miles, sporadically with mine that are 5274 (P revision) and 6276 (R revision). Fortunately it's rare.

I'm running the 5274 firmware in my GT Sport. It has a RNS-510 P revision.

Same but not my new MacBook no longer has a built-in DVD drive to burn the Dual-Layer disc. Was hoping the SD card was a successful option as when I first tried it 3 years ago it didn't work very well and I went back to DVDs.

You still need a DVD with the maps when you use the SD card method. It just reads a few files from the DVD, instead of reading the whole thing. :\

Thats me as well ... they built all those new houses around Bedford and I haven't travelled the same route twice :grin: it just says "Off road" ... and thats not good for my suspension.

I did bork one disc by following instructions online doing through the Finder, but in the end I just right clicked the iso image on my desktop and clicked 'Burn'. Seemed to work perfectly. RNS happy with the disc.

That.
People ARE helpful on here.......but in order to provide this service - DVD R DLs have to be purchased, hours sat a computer burning them, buying bend proof packaging materials, posting them out at lunchtimes etc. So because you're not prepared to spend £15, you expect others to do all that for you, for free? Doesn't work that way.

Think I've saved more than a few people good money on information
Learnt the hard way from spending money on bits & pieces
ABS pumps, pretty know all there is on them now - revisions, compatibility and wiring differences
door controllers, climatronic panel upgrades with info, radio upgrades - spent time doing pdf diagrams (now deleted)
Plus loads more useful info that & contacts that is probably useful.
Research, time, experiments... all costs money and headaches.... no matter, live and learn, live and learn!

I get an CD/DVD error message, like it's not been recognised, the unit plays CDs and DVDs and I can copy music from a SD card to HDD. The lens has been cleaned with a proper wet/dry disc.
