Title: Silly question, are GTI front wings the same as standard models?

Asked in the cosmetic section but more traffic here :)

There seems to be plenty of sets on ebay primered. Are the GTI ones wider or the same as other MK5 models?

As far as I'm aware they're exactly the and but I'll be able to confirm later this week as I have an eBay one arriving  (small disagreement with the front wall)

Lol, cheers :) I've just bought one knowing one wing is rusting, but seeing as you can buy pairs primed and cheap on ebay I figured I'd be happy to do that :)

Hi, All mk5 golf wings are the same, just don't buy non genuine ones! Much better to buy some good used genuine ones, or bite the bullet and get new ones from tps, yes they are more expensive but they will fit perfectly, I work in an accident repair centre where non genuine panels are always used, and the quality and fit are shocking, leaving terrible panel gaps and mismatched swage lines. If things are cheap there's usually a reason....then again, maybe i'm just too fussy!

I used a brand new copy wing and lines are perfect but needed the top corner clip grinding down as it was in the way  :signLOL:

The pair I bought look to be a good fit although I'm not going to get them done until summer.
