Title: BBS VZ
Post by: delob on December 20, 2017, 06:34:02 pm
I am ordering a set of BBS VZ for the car. Going to have them on in January. Just wondering about spacer options. Currently on 18” Monza with 10mm spacers all round. Gives me an effective ET of 41mm. The VZ are 8 inch rims with ET of 44mm so just wondering what I will get away with. Will 3mm front and 5mm rear work? Also opinions on colour would be appreciated. Leaning toward Satin Antracite at the moment

I have the same Wheels on my gti ...’went for silver to stay classy , but it’s just a personal choice really  :happy2:

Didn’t feel the need for spacers ... not really worth the 3/5mm ... not sure you’d notice to be honest

Remember the Monzas are 7.5 wide. So if you're wanting to achieve the same poke/fitment with the 8 wide VZs, you won't actually need spacers.

I've got the VZ in silver. Look great and they're a nice flush fit. You won't want any more poke (especially if you are or plan to go lower) unless you want to start playing with the arches.

Willtheyfit.com shows you the comparison between your Monzas spaced 10mm and VZs straight on the hub.(https://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/20171220/8bdd222118fc42e2b1d5aeb886fbe271.jpg)

Yeah I was thinking the same in relation to colour. What colour is your car? Think that is a factor to be considered

Thanks for that. Really helpful. I am currently 20mm lower on Eibach springs. Based on this I think I will do without the spacers

No probs mate

As for colour, mine's Tornado and I think I made the right choice going for silver. It's all personal preference of course!

Mine is graphite blue so was think the anthracite might look good. I will decide in the next few weeks and post a pic once they are fitted

If you end up selling your 10mm spacers give me shout as I'm on the look out for a set, now I've installed my Eibach Sportlines

Just to follow up on this thread. Ended up going for Satin anthracite. Just felt it would suit the graphite blue better and I am pleased with the choice ...(https://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/20180125/826ae744acc81af51c15bc839dfb091d.jpg)

Bump an old thread!

Where are you guys getting your VZs from? I don’t think BBS make them anymore?
Considering getting some as my Pesceras are getting seriously tatty.

18" VZ without tyres are £725 silver, £755 anthracite and £1195 with PS4 and £1225 with PSS from Revolution 247.
Dunno if they made them in 19"?

Thanks mate.  I can't find any info at all on BBS's site about the VZ.  Just slightly apprehensive about them being fake if still available!

Have you asked Philip @ PW Motorsport. He did have some VZ 033 a while back. I recently had some new BBS valves and centre caps from him when I refurbed the silver VZ to anthracite.
