Title: Longer bolts required?
Post by: Bodyboarder81 on January 02, 2018, 07:47:21 pm
Sorry if this is the wrong section  :ashamed:

I have a set of bbs VZ on my Pirelli..... the offset is 44 on a 8” wide rim . The new Wheels were supplied with new bolts . The new bolts are the same length as the standard bolts .

 Is this ok ?

As in my mind I have 7mm less bolt holding my wheels on !

Standard offset on my Pirelli ( assume it’s the same as the edition 30 ) is et51 on a 7.5” rim .

I have 7.5 turns on the bolt until tight on the VZ Wheels ... should I be getting longer bolts to be safe ?

Thanks for any help  :happy2:

Wheel offset and bolt length are not related.

The hub thickness will be the same regardless of offset.
