Title: Diagnose a noise for me
Post by: Spooky211 on January 09, 2018, 01:32:38 pm
Recently my GTI has started making a kind of thwack thwack noise when going round right handers - its reciprocal so increases with speed. It only seems to happen when on the throttle and annoyingly is fairly intermittent. I took it to my local garage and the mechanic couldn't get the car to make the noise but checked all obvious things like CV, bearings etc and said everything looked ok. Any of you guys got any ideas or experienced similar? I was thinking either CV, driveshaft or track rod-ends?
