Post by: strongbow on January 09, 2018, 07:35:27 pm
Hi all, going to change rusty old springs, was wondering has anyone had to change the lower rubber mount (rear) part no; 1k0512297d . Car has 115000 on it so maybe it’s worn. Thanks mark.

Yep I've replaced them.  They do squidge down a fair bit after 100+ k miles.

There is a plastic clip that attaches them to the trailing arm, which usually breaks when you try to remove it, but that clip appears to be for factory transportation/assembly use only as it's not listed as a separate part on the system.

I fitted the spring mounts without said clip and had no problems.
