Title: Front washer jet not working...
Post by: Gmac on January 14, 2018, 03:49:53 pm
Evening all...

After some help... my front windscreen washers have stopped working... the back is working fine, I can here the motor working, the front isn’t working the motor or the wipers don’t do their thing.  So what number fuse is it? I’ve checked no.13 fuse, 5amp, as that what the handbook says, but i’m Not convinced this is the correct fuse.

Any help would be good..cheers

Are you sure the bonnet it shut?

The back washer is the same motor as the front, so unlikely to be a fuse issue if the back jet works

Hmm I wish my rear jet wash would work, checked and I can't seen any obvious sign of screen wash dripping at the rear

have you checked that water is getting to the nozzle? Pull the cover cap back and pull out the nozzle (pulls straight out with a pair or pilers) check it then.

If the wiper is working at the rear then you have a leak in the rear rubber tubing right hand side possibly!.

Worth a punt, do a battery reset. Disconnect your battery, leave lead off for a couple of minutes and re-connect. Solved the wife's Tiguan doing pretty much the same as you're describing. All fuses were good etc on checking, coincidentally my pal had the exact same on his Touran (under warranty) and when he took it to dealer this is what they did.
