So bought a rubber boot liner as i have a dog and he's not allowed in the car but his hair still gets in. So rubber is easier to hoover.
Anyway i got this one from ebay and to me it doesn't fit.
The seller is refusing the return and says it does fit according to the pictures ive sent.
Apparently i haven't fitted it good enough. But thats how it goes after pushing it all in. Its too big depth wise and just crap really or am i being fussy?
Cheers

That is horrible fitment mate
-
Definitely doesn't fit right.
-
Looking at the colour of your rear bumper is your car an R32 ? If so your boot floor a raised higher than a GTI with a Space saver spare that could be the problem with the height but the fit don’t look that good anyway

Send the seller a few images from Google of how it should fit

The seller just needs a trip to Specsavers!

The ebayer has now accepted return after a few choiced words.
Yeah i thought it was a terrible fit aswell glad it wasn't just me.
My cars a golf r mk7. I did think it was higher than my mk5 i had.
-
It's because of problems like this that I opted to stump up the extra and get a genuine one from VW albeit on a Mk5. A mate bought a cheap one for his Nissan Juke and then ended up buying a genuine one, somethings are just worth paying. The extra for. :sad1:
-
Ive got one of these in my mk7

Not really worth it to be honest as things do slide around.
-
Yes things still do slide around but for me it's more about keeping the boot clean and easy to keep clean, a quick wipe with a damp cloth and it's as good as new.
-
The mk7 R is four wheel drive so I maybe the same applies to front wheel drive mk7 v’s R as the to the GTI v’s R32
Seen vag ones and they fit better than that ,it’s like floor mats original is best 👍🏼

Yeah that saying "buy cheap buy twice" comes to mind

I bought one off eBay and was very impressed. Perfect fit, durable and non slip rubber.

Got a full refund and the seller doesn't want the item back.
So if anyone wants this free of charge. Just pay for postage and it's there's.
I believe it only fits a standard mk7 car.

Cut it up to make something to kneel on when gardening , cleaning the car , changing the wheel etc ?

That is awful. I would be too embarrassed to open my boot in case a member of the public saw it!
As already mentioned, I think with vehicle specific accessories, it's best to go genuine. I had a similar problem with a plastic bumper protector, which wasn't cheap! The contours weren't a snug fit allowing a ton of dirt to get behind it, the adhesive backing kept lifting, and it was so thick, the tailgate rubbed it every time I closed it, which wore the paint down to bear steel.
I ended up making my own protector in the end. They are a must if you have dogs as their claws scratch the hell out of the paint.
