hi guys i have been looking into diffs at the mo and found that tsr are offering 10% off on a diff , but having spoke to them today they will offer 20% off any 5 vag diffs . so it is a mini group buy if you like im sure more then 5 can get in on the offer .
remember this is supply only and fitting is extra along with postage .

Is that 20% off the price listed Gillm?
-
that is a bargain. but my money has been set aside for som nice big brakes from our very own daveB
-
That's a really good buy :happy2: Only Prob is I'd need the money to do the clutch aswell :sad1:
-
i have my clutch waiting to be fitted so its a good time for me to do it .
£605 inc the 10% off
20% off works out to be £537.77 if my maths is correct .
-
does he do the DSG version??

In that case I could be persuaded!
Price above is for a Manual 'Fast Road' I presume?
-
oh bollox not yet :sad1: other mods first
-
that is for the manual yes . not sure on dsg would be best to contact them i guess
-
they need to do pay monthly options lol
-
oh dear ........ :notworthy:
-
whats the average fitting cost? Does the diff come with a fitting kit?
-
regal quoted £380 to fit
tsr quoted £475 to fit
you will need a bolt kit , arp do one i think
-
The DSG quaife diff comes with ARP crown bolts included, but is around £200 more than the manual.
The manual diff bolt kit (02M/02Q) is £124.37+VAT = £146.13 (at 2009 price list I have in front of me)
May be worthwhile asking for a discount on the bolt kits too
Also it may be a good idea to see if fitting prices are different for DSG
-
why would they sell a diff without the required fitting kit, thas just plain stupid surely

Agreed
-
I got a Wavetrac diff, but I would be interested in an uprated clutch and flywheel group buy and would be more than happy to try and organise one if others are interested.
-
please do tell of your experiences with the wavetrac, i'm all ears
-
back on topic
spoke to tsr today and the 20% off price is £549 (based on the diff being £585+vat )
delivery is £12
arp bolt kit is £97 + vat (no discount offered)
bearings £50 (no discount offered)
the above is all based on 02q manual .
ring tsr for more details on 01278453036
to quaify for the group buy they would all need paying for on the same day so lets say the 24th of feb which is 2 weeks tomorrow .
-
What is the price for a DSG equivalent?
-
try ringing them mojo. and good luck as i was trying all day and just got a BT answer message.
-
yeh i had that alot but just keep trying
-
I may be interested in the 02m 4wd version. What would be the final price?
-
as stated in the thread . take a look at the link to club gti and it is also best to contact tsr to see if they have the diff you require
-
Gillm,
If you feel this innapropriate I will remove it but after speaking to Matt @ VWR today I can clarify their fitted prices for a Quaife Diff.
Manual £1050 all in.
DSG £1200 all in.
-
im assuming by a fitted price that inc vat along with oil/bolt kit and bearings ?
if so thats a better deal still as sourcing the bits and getting a local gearbox company to fit mine works out at £1092
