Question, as I have the PP brake setup on mine, will they still do it? Anyone have theirs done with upgraded brakes without any issues at VW?

There’s a test program in their diagnostics machine which runs the ABS pump whilst they flush it. It agitates the pistons to shift all the gunk.Thanks Pudding, pardon my ignorance but is the brake fluid change the same as/include bleeding the brakes?

Only asking as I’m hoping to upgrade soon to MK7 calipers

They won't cycle the ABS unless you tell them to. On my last brake service I told them to do that and also the clutch. Black nasty sh*t came out of both apparently.
After reading a thread on this before saying exactly that I asked Volkswagen and they said as standard they have to cycle the ABS.
He could have just been spoofing to give me peace of mind.
Anyway, they did it for me "apparently". I had no evidence

Ps. Prices gone up for “fixed price servicing”
Dsg now £199 from £184 and brake fluid £69 from £64

My local VW dealer was supposed to change plugs / pollen filter / fuel filter as part of fixed service price but didn’t.How do you know, did you check all the parts? Did they give you a refund?

I’ve owned my car since new and only does @3k miles pa, so it was pretty obvious nothing had previously been changed when it came out of warranty and started being serviced by a trusted independent.

They’ll need the car for one more day, they couldn’t get it up on the ramp...guessing because the cars lowered but they said apparently the sideskirts (OEM) are too big

Quite right. It was mandatory to do that on my old Corrado VR6 as well, so I can't see that changing on the newer cars tbh since the technology is the same. Some dealers are just lazy or ignorant. Cutting corners R us.
Brake fluid absorbs water, and that water tends to corrode some parts of the hydraulic circuit that don't see much action - i.e the pump pistons. People who flush it out every 2 years are far less likely to experience problems though.
