Title: Radio --Status : Cannot be reached!!!!!!

Hi,

I changed out the old entry model radio out of my mk5, i took leads from the AC unit(orange wires) to prevent the battery drain issue. Now when i run VCDS, it says that the radio unit cannot be reached. Help please. The radio turns on fine and works great, but I do not understand why the unit cannot be reached by the vcds software. Or is this just how it is supposed to be when the modification is done.

If its after market then it won't show up but to save running extra wire from somewhere else isn't  the best way to install as you can't get an harness that gives you the the yellow power feed you need
