Thinking of lowering my suspension. I have a 2005 GTI. Can anyone recommend which springs to use and how much to lower? Cheers

Both Racingline and Eibach are popular choices and will lower @20mm.

Racingline are more like -30mm. On a manual ED30 at least.
-
They claim 15-20mm but I didn’t measure the drop after fitting mine.

I believe when I had Eibach Sportlines on mine it was at 25-1/4" at wheel center from the ground to top of wheel arch. Some have said they went to 25" ±1/8". Eibach Prolines and VWR Sports are going to be higher. One thing to consider is that VWR Sports are linear and non-progressive...meaning ride quality should feel slightly more stiff/harsh but better/predictable for handling.

For reference
H&R springs on mine measure from ground to middle of arch
Front :630mm
Rear:650mm

I’ve just had VWR springs fitted and lovin them

Another thumbs up for the VWR springs here. :happy2:

Me neither but the Ohlins are -20mm and it sits a fair bit higher than it did on the VWR springs
